Invitation to a Conference – Global Comparison of Pension Systems
In a context where pension systems are facing common challenges such as demographic aging, economic volatility, and the rapid evolution of the labor market, it is essential to look beyond our borders. Comparing the approaches implemented in different countries not only helps us better understand which models work but also allows us to identify innovations that are transforming how people save, invest, and prepare for their financial future.
It is with great pleasure that the ACPM Quebec Regional Council invites you to a session on emerging trends and innovations that are redefining pension systems worldwide.
- The Mercer study is a global reference that evaluates more than 52 pension systems based on their adequacy, sustainability, and integrity. It ranks countries, highlights their strengths and weaknesses, and proposes reforms, particularly in response to population aging. F. Hubert Tremblay of Mercer will discuss the key findings of this study.
- The ACPM Quebec Regional Council is pleased to welcome Sébastien Betermier, Professor of Finance at McGill University and Executive Director of the International Centre for Pension Management. A recognized specialist in portfolio management, pension systems, and sustainable finance, his work focuses in part on the design of pension plans that are sustainable over the long term.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the Canadian pension system while discovering innovations being implemented elsewhere in the world.
We look forward to seeing you there.
