The Social Implications of Pensions

In his new report commissioned by the Canadian Public Pension Leadership Council (CPPLC), professor emeritus Dr. Robert L. Brown, offers a compelling synthesis of evidence on the broad benefits of workplace pensions. The advantages, as presented by Dr. Brown in his report entitled, "The Social Implications of Pensions", include better labour force management, lower job stress, improved worker health and lower use of government-funded assistance programs, such as Old Age Security (OAS) and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS).
