Unlocking Potential in your DC plan
A workplace retirement plan offers one of the best savings vehicles to help people reach their financial goals—from payroll contributions to instant tax savings, and in a DC/CAP world, world-class investment choices with fees often much less than retail. The list goes on.
For members to realize the value they have in front of them, they must make decisions on how to interact with the plan. Should they save more? Should they adjust funds? Are lump sums around RRSP season a good idea?
To make informed decisions, education matters. How do we reach members in an impactful way? In a way that respects their time and understands that they already have a lot of information thrown at them? And also in a way so that they understand what their employer is giving them? Should employers or insurance carriers be providing broader financial literacy education?
